Anna L. Hamilton, Graduate Student Intern

Anna is a native Texan with several years of experience working with adolescents and young adults in K-12 and university settings. After completing her undergraduate degree in history at the University of Texas, she served as Program Director of Breakthrough Fort Worth, guiding middle- and high-school students on their pathway to college. Most recently, she has worked as an undergraduate advisor at UTA and SMU. Anna is completing her MS in Counseling at Southern Methodist University, where she worked as a supervised practicum intern at the SMU Center for Family Counseling.
As a counselor, Anna’s goals are to provide a caring and safe therapeutic environment for clients to feel heard, trusted, and able to explore themselves. Anna has training in lifestyle and career counseling, adolescent counseling, family violence, sexuality counseling, and sandtray therapy. Areas of counseling may include coping skills, building self-esteem, processing trauma and grief, and learning cognitive-behavioral strategies for depression and anxiety, among other issues.
Anna is available to see individuals ages 11 and up, and can schedule appointments during weekday, evening, and weekend hours.
