Galit Birk, PhD, LPC- Student Counselor
Under supervision by Holly Lockett, M.S, LPC-Supervisor
Dr. Birk holds a PhD in Psychology from Saybrook University and is a PCI Certified Parent Coach® with a former private practice in Dallas where she supported families dealing with divorce, fertility issues, learning differences and other parenting challenges in a coaching capacity, as well as led parent-education seminars and women’s empowerment groups. She is completing her master’s in Professional Counseling at Amberton University. A former Pastoral Care Director for a non-profit, Dr. Birk has also worked with grief, loss and end-of-life issues.
Humanistically-existentially and person-centered trained, Dr. Birk holds a positive view of the human being and delights in working with both individuals and couples to bridge the gap between where they are and where they wish to be in their lives. She utilizes an integrative approach to working with clients, meeting them where they are and utilizing various therapeutic modalities as needed to bring about deep, meaningful, and lasting positive change.
Dr. Birk is grateful to be engaging in this delicate and important work of supporting others in their lives; of cultivating meaningful relationships, holding safe space, and helping individuals thrive.
