Frisco THERAPISTS AND COUNSELORS

Healing often begins when the strategies that once helped us succeed, stay safe, or care for others no longer serve the life we want to live. While these moments can feel disorienting, they also create opportunities for growth, self-discovery, and meaningful change.

As a therapist, I approach healing as a process of remembering—remembering our resilience, reconnecting with our values, and discovering new possibilities for how we want to live. I believe people are not defined by their diagnoses, painful experiences, or past patterns. Instead, healing happens when we begin to understand the adaptations that once helped us survive and intentionally choose the ones that support who we are becoming.

My counseling style blends cognitive behavioral, gestalt, and narrative therapy approaches with a strong foundation in somatic awareness. Together, we explore the thoughts, emotions, relationship patterns, and nervous system responses that may be contributing to feelings of anxiety, overwhelm, disconnection, or feeling stuck. Through this process, clients often develop greater clarity, self-compassion, and trust in themselves.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent nearly 25 years as a licensed bodywork practitioner and educator. This experience profoundly shaped my understanding of the connection between mind and body and the remarkable capacity we all have to adapt, heal, and grow. I bring a trauma-informed, body-centered perspective to counseling that supports both insight and embodied change.

I am particularly drawn to working with women and individuals navigating life transitions, identity shifts, and seasons of reinvention. Many of my clients feel stuck despite their efforts to move forward. They may have spent years striving, achieving, caring for others, or meeting expectations, only to discover that the strategies that once helped them succeed no longer support the life they want to create.

Together, we explore what is ready to be released, what remains true, and what new possibilities are emerging.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, trauma recovery, or a season of personal transformation, therapy can offer a place to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with what matters most.

Healing is not about becoming someone different. It is about uncovering more of who you already are and moving forward with greater intention, balance, and authenticity.
