Holly is a proud graduate of Minot State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and psychology. Her passion for justice and human behavior led her to work in the criminal justice system for five years, gaining valuable insights into the complexities of trauma and its impact on individuals and communities.

Driven by a desire to make a profound difference in people’s lives, Holly pursued further education at Southern Methodist University, where she obtained a master’s degree in counseling. Equipped with advanced knowledge and skills, she specializes in supporting individuals dealing with trauma, grief, attachment disorders, and adoption related issues.

What sets Holly apart is her unique perspective as an adoptee herself. Having experienced the adoption journey firsthand, she possesses a deep understanding of the emotional complexities surrounding adoption. Holly’s expertise lies in adoption-related issues, including healthy bonding and attachment disorders, both for adopted children and their families. She recognizes the importance of creating a safe and nurturing environment that fosters healing, growth, and resilience.

In her practice, Holly employs a holistic approach that integrates various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral, narrative, and activity therapy. Holly also uses EMDR and other trauma focused techniques to meet the specific needs of her clients. She believes in the power of collaboration and actively involves family members and systems in the counseling process to create a supportive network of care.
